Periodical notifications
Leaderboard announcements
Every Wednesday at 09:00 in your timezone, Flaree posts the running leaderboard to your announcement channel, with this month's points and the badges people have collected. On the first working day of the month it posts a recap of the month that closed instead.
Gratitude notifications
Every Friday at 14:30 in your timezone, Flaree sends you a direct message reminding you to thank someone for their week. You can send the Flaree straight from that message, without opening the app. Teammates who are not in your Slack workspace get the same reminder by email.

How to add and onboard my company
Setting up Flaree in Slack takes four steps:
- Find Flaree in the Slack App Directory and add it to your workspace
- In Flaree, go to Settings and then Integration and sign in with Slack to connect the workspace. Use the same email address in both places
- Pick the channel where Flaree should announce recognition. You choose one channel for the whole company
- Send the test message to confirm everything is wired up
From there you can invite your whole Slack workspace into Flaree in one go, and see who has connected their account on the Slack Users screen.
Flaree is free forever for your whole team, so there is no card to enter and nothing to cancel. If you want the paid features, the 90 day Advance trial also runs without a card.
How to onboard users from my organization
Onboarding your employees is mostly automated. Once your company is set up, you can invite everyone from your Slack workspace at once, and each person gets an invitation.

To use the /flaree commands, each person also connects their own Slack account under Settings and then Integration. Being in the workspace is not enough on its own, and you can send them a reminder from the Slack Users screen.
How to create Flarees
Creating Flarees is meant to be quick and flexible. You create at least three cards during onboarding, giving each one a name, a description and a quantity. Upload your own artwork or pick one of the predefined designs. Most teams name their cards after their company values, so every Flaree sent points back to something the business already cares about.
How to transfer Flarees and list my Flarees
In Slack, type /flaree transfer. A modal opens where you choose the card, pick one or more people to thank and set the points, with room for a short comment. Type /flaree list to see the Flarees you have received. You can also open the Flaree dashboard and see everything there.
Only people with the Giver role can send Flarees. You can promote teammates to that role in the Users dashboard.
How to create and get Special Flarees
As a company owner you set up Special Flarees in the Flaree platform. Under the Special tab you will find the Special Flarees list, and you create them the same way you create a normal card. You then choose which Flarees someone has to collect to unlock each one. Special Flarees are part of the Advance plan.
To unlock a Special Flaree you need to:
- Collect all the Flarees the company owner set as required
- Open the Flarees dashboard in your Flaree account
- Click the Special Flaree to unlock it
