Slack integration
Flaree works fully in the browser, and Slack is optional. Connect it and people can send recognition without leaving the conversation, while the team sees it happen. This page covers setup, the commands, and every message Flaree posts.
Setting it up
Go to Settings → Integration. Setup is done by an Administrator or the Owner, and takes four steps.

There is a Send Test Message button once a channel is set. It posts a short confirmation to that channel so you can check the wiring before telling the team.
Everyone else in the company sees only one item on this screen: Connect Slack account. Until an admin has done the setup, they see a note asking them to contact their workspace administrator.
The announcement channel
Flaree marks your #general channel as the default at install, so announcements have somewhere to go from the start. Change it in step 4 if you would rather use a dedicated channel.
Connecting your own account
Every member links their own Slack account, whatever their role. Go to Settings → Integration and press Sign in with Slack.
The commands do nothing until an account is linked. Anyone who has not linked theirs gets: "Your Slack account is not connected to Flaree. Open Flaree → Settings → Integration → Slack and connect your account to use this command." This is the single most common Slack support question.
You can unlink at any time with the Disconnect button in the same place.
The commands
Everything runs through /flaree. Replies are private to you, so nobody sees you asking for help.

The Flaree app also has a Home tab in Slack with a button for each command, so people who dislike typing commands never have to.
Sending from Slack
The form has four fields: the card, the people, the points and an optional comment of up to 250 characters.
Two differences from the web app worth knowing:
Points are typed, not picked. Any whole number up to 100 works, so you are not limited to 100, 70, 50 and 20.
Up to ten people per send, same as the web app.
If part of a group send fails you get a count of who was reached and who was not. The public announcement covers everyone who did receive one.
Roulette
A prompt for the days when you know recognition is overdue but cannot think who. Flaree proposes a card, a person and a points value, and you decide.
Three spins per day. Each spin offers a different suggestion, and the remaining count is shown on the button.
One send per day. Once you accept a suggestion, that is your roulette send until tomorrow.
A suggestion expires after 15 minutes. Spin again to get a fresh one.
Suggestions are drawn from the whole company, not only people in Slack.
Accepting posts the Flaree publicly like any other, with an opening line written for you. Declining costs nothing.
What Flaree posts, and where
The distinction that matters: recognition is public, nudges are private. Flaree never posts a reminder about you into a shared channel.

Timings follow your company timezone, set under Settings → Company.
Feedback Friday
A private Friday nudge to anyone who can send Flarees, with the wording depending on whether they have never sent one, not sent one for a while, or sent one recently.
It is interactive: pick a card, a person and a points value from the message itself, and press Reward without opening Flaree.
People not in your Slack workspace get the same nudge by email instead, never both. More detail in Notifications and summaries.
Getting your team connected
Under View Slack Users you get everyone in the workspace with their status: linked, in Slack but not linked, not in Slack, or in Slack only.
Anyone in the second group can be sent a Remind message, individually or all at once. It is a short direct message with a button that links their account.
Removing the integration
The Remove Integration button clears the channel settings, unlinks every Slack account, and removes the app connection.
Your Flarees, points, badges and history are untouched. Only the Slack link goes.
To set it up again, remove the app from Slack first. Go to Slack → Apps → Flaree → Remove App, and only then reconnect in Flaree. Reconnecting without that step does not work, because Slack will not reinstall an app it still considers installed.

Slack is included in Free Forever and every Advance plan.
Common questions
A command says my account is not connected.
Link it under Settings → Integration → Slack. Installing the app for the workspace does not link individual accounts, everyone does their own.
Nothing is being announced in our channel.
Check a channel is selected in step 4 and use Send Test Message. Also confirm the Flaree app is still in that channel.
I typed a command and was told to run something else.
A known wording error in the fallback message for an unrecognised command. The only command is /flaree. Run /flaree help for the list.
Slack says Kudos in places, but the product says Flarees.
Leftover wording from an earlier name. They mean the same thing.
Can I send more than 100 points from Slack?
No. The maximum is 100 per person per day, exactly as in the web app.
Roulette suggested somebody who is not in our Slack.
Expected. Roulette draws from everyone in Flaree, not only workspace members. They will still be recognised.
Why did I get a Feedback Friday email instead of a Slack message?
Your Slack account is not linked, so Flaree used email. Link it to get the interactive version.
Does removing the integration delete our recognition?
No. Flarees, points, badges and history all stay. Only the Slack connection is removed.
