Surveys

Surveys let you ask your team a set of questions and collect their answers in one place. You write the questions, your team answers them from the dashboard, and the results appear under Analytics.

Managing surveys needs user management rights. Everyone else sees only the page where they answer.

Setting up your first survey

1. Connect the survey service

The first time you open Manage Surveys → Questions you are asked to configure an API key. Surveys are powered by MR Agent, which handles the questionnaire and the AI analysis, so the connection has to be made once per company.

Click Configure API Key and accept. You will see "MR Agent connected successfully" and the question editor appears.

Accepting means survey data is shared with MR Agent for analysis and reporting. This is part of how the module works, so it is worth knowing before you enable it.

2. Write the questions

Add your questions one at a time with Add Question. Each one is a prompt in your own words, so ask whatever you actually want to know. Remove one with the trash button next to it.

Save with Create. Coming back later, the same button reads Update.

3. Activate it

Once questions are saved, a status bar appears with an Activate button. Nothing is visible to your team until you press it.

An inactive survey shows "Inactive survey is not accessible to users", and people opening the Survey page see a message that there is nothing to answer.

Tell your team the survey is ready. Activating does not send anything out, so announce it wherever your team actually reads, for example a Slack channel. Without that, most people will not know to look.

Answering a survey

Your team opens Survey from the navigation and the questions appear. They answer in place and submit.

If there is nothing to answer, either because no survey was created or because it is switched off, the page says "No survey found for this week, maybe next week? 🤔".

Answers are saved per person, and a fresh submission replaces that person's previous answers rather than adding to them.

Reading the results

Open Manage Surveys → Analytics. Set the From and To dates at the top; it opens on the last seven days.

You get three things:

  • Users Responded — how many people answered out of the company, the most useful number for judging participation.

  • A list of people — click anyone to see just their answers.

  • All answers — every response in the period, each showing the question, the answer, and the person who gave it, with the time it was submitted.

Results appear from the first answer onward, so there is no waiting for a minimum number of responses.

Answers are attributed. The analytics view shows each response next to the name and email of the person who gave it, and you can open any individual's answers on their own. Worth saying so when you ask your team to fill it in, so nobody assumes otherwise.

Turning a survey off

Press Deactivate in the status bar. It takes effect immediately and the survey disappears for everyone. Answers already collected stay in Analytics, so switching off does not lose anything.

Reactivating brings the same questions back.

Good to know

One survey per company. There is a single set of questions at a time, not a library of separate surveys. Editing the questions changes the survey everyone sees.

There is no deadline. A survey stays open until an admin deactivates it.

Everyone active can answer. Deactivated people cannot reach the page.

Common questions

My team says there is no survey.
Check that it is activated. The status pill in Manage Surveys reads Active or Inactive, and questions alone are not enough.

Nobody has answered.
Activating a survey does not notify anyone. Announce it to your team and point them at Survey in the navigation.

Can I run two surveys at once?
No. There is one set of questions per company. Change the questions when you want to ask something else, but note that Analytics keeps the answers already collected.

Can someone change their answer?
Submitting again replaces what they sent before, rather than adding a second set.

Can I export the results?
Not from the dashboard. Results are read in the Analytics tab.
